All Star Anti-Fur Challege!

This weekend basketball players, celebrities, fans, and media from all over North America will gather in Toronto for the 2016 NBA All Star Game. It is going to be very cold and even the sports reporters on 590, The Fan radio station are joking about how much fur with be seen around the city this weekend. They are referring to an NBA style of being decked out in bling and expensive clothing. Drake, one of the honorary coaches and well known for wearing fur, will be just one of the many role models setting a bad example for fans by choosing fashion over compassion.

Let’s show visitors to our city that Toronto has not only a great basketball team and some great musical talent but we care about justice for animals as well. We will greet fans and media (exact meeting spot TBA) as they arrive for the game holding signs and videos that depict the violence of the fur industry. We will also hold some huge banners: 1) Be an All Star for Animals-Don’t wear Fur! 2) Bounce Fur out of your Life! (the Os will be basketballs!) Thanks Len Goldberg for #2! 3) D-fend innocent animals-Don’t wear fur! 4) Have a Heart-Don’t Wear Fur! These huge banners will hopefully ensure that the anti-fur message reaches as many people as possible as the crowds will be moving quickly due to the cold and the excitement of the event.
There may also be opportunities to carry signs on the subways during the time fans are heading to the game!
(Now if someone was willing to go naked, we could really get some attention!!)

I know it’s a busy, busy weekend of events but hopefully some of you will have enough energy to show the world who the real All Stars are!!
