Protest the Orillia Shrine Club Circus / City Ban for animals used in entertainment !

3pm & 630pm July 5th
***We have been advised (May 3/16) that the elephants will not be travelling with the circus in Canada this summer (due to legal/permit issues). Further to this….the circus is still using horses in their show. It seems we are all in agreement that their exploitation is no different than the elephants (& big cats). We will still be protesting on July 5th outside the circus venue.
Get your signs ready! Keep them horse specific….or generally about not supporting cruelty.

There will be a petition you can sign & info at the ” The Kind Kitchen” table (Orillia Farmers Market ). Email Mayor Clarke(mayor@orillia.ca), MPP for Simcoe North Mr Patrick Brown (patrick.brown@pc.ola.org) & Orillia Shriners (jb.watkins@sympatico.ca) to tell them your disapproval on this form of fundraising in our city. The event is on a Tuesday. The shows are 4pm & 730pm so we will be protesting at ****3pm & 630pm**** This is a peaceful, information sharing event so make your signs kid friendly. Children welcome & are encouraged to attend.
I would also like to promote a direct donation to the Orillia Shrine Club….they do wonderful work in the community & deserve our support (just not with circus cruelty).
