Fort York Garrison Ribfest Outreach

Come speak out for our cow and piggy friends on July 23 Saturday and Sunday July 24 from 2-7. We are uniting in love and compassion and will be present to educate and change the world one heartbeat at a time. Some signage will be avail but feel free to bring your own if you have some or are feeling the creative compassionate urge!. Easy Park at Bathurst and Fleet and simple TTC access. Bring water LOTS and some snacks! A hat if you need it and sunscreen if you wear it! Please leave your furry family members at home where they can stay cool and safe and unstressed. These types of outreach events can get intense. The gentler we are and remain the more hearts and minds we will change. Holding a sign silently is a powerful act. Handing out literature and engaging in discussions is too. Choose whatever form of activism you are comfortable with. Your safety comes first at these events. If you are feeling threatened or unsafe tell one of us and we will stand united in peace and non-violence. We will have each others backs and will catch each other should we fall. For some the atmosphere can be challenging, please do not feel you have to stay if uncomfortable. Lean on one of your brothers or sisters at the event if you need support. Also, if you get some essential oil, I reccomend peppermint or eucalyptus or lavender, and put a few drops under your nose it will help with the smell asssociated with the event. Lavender also calms. This event will be repeated Sunday from 2-7. Come both days or one day for all the time or for some of the time. Our animals friends need us. We need you!
