Meeting to block St. Helen’s Meatpackers expansion plans
Please join us on March 23rd to attend a meeting with the city, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, and local residents to decide the fate of 200 Rockcliffe Court, a stretch of green space at Jane St. at St. Clair Ave W. (West of St. Helen’s Slaughterhouse).
St. Helen’s Meat Packers slaughterhouse wishes to purchase the land, which local residents are advocating for a public green space, to build a huge refrigeration warehouse. The land is currently home to wildlife, is a natural floodplain and serves an ecological purpose.
