Toronto, National Animal Rights Day (NARD) 2018

June 3, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Piglet being held by activist

Please join us to commemorate, educate, celebrate. Toronto activists are again coming together for the National Animal Rights Day (NARD), an international event established by “Our Planet. Theirs too.” at http://www.thenard.org/ All are welcome, whether to take part, to watch, or to volunteer before or on the day.

On Sunday, June 3 2018, NARD events will be held across the world. We start with a memorial ceremony for the billions of animals who die every year by human hands – in the presence of real deceased animals who are mourned in public. This is a solemn ceremony accompanied by music and by speakers. The Declaration of Animal Rights will be featured and a scroll available to sign. We will end with a celebration of the animals in our lives, and the steps that are being made towards ending their suffering, by helping to shift the planet to a cruelty-free, plant-based, lifestyle. Please join us!
