AV: Toronto and Calling All Vegans Apres-March Social/Drop-In!

August 25, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Calling All Vegans…and Activists! Both visitors to the city and Torontonians. Please join us for a free drop-in/social hosted by Anonymous for the Voiceless: Toronto and Calling All Vegans at the ThatChannel.com studio (600 Bay Street – just a 10-minute walk from Grange Park, the end point of the Official Animal Rights March) where you can relax, recharge, have a washroom break, grab a cold drink, enjoy a wee snack, listen to some groovy tunes, and give out-of-towners an opportunity to get their bearings, meet local activists to get restaurant recommendations and assistance navigating the city, etc.

The space will be available from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to allow people time to pitch in for clean-up immediately following the march. There will also be a DXE action taking place from 3:00 to 5:00. See details here and please join in: https://www.facebook.com/events/2043782769284860/ Those individuals not participating in the DXE event can pop by the studio shortly after the march and activists wishing to get involved with DXE still have lots of time to drop in after 5:00.

Donations gratefully accepted.

Calling All Vegans is brought to you by ThatChannel.com and VeganKIND. Please join Sue Spahr and co-host Alec Bosse as they strive to raise awareness of veganism and animal rights issues and encourage vegans to become more “activated”.

The animal rights movement has finally achieved some…movement. Vegans/AR activists are no longer just on the fringes…we’re everywhere and from every walk of life. Calling All Vegans aims to curate a wide variety of such guests. The show is an opportunity to get to know one another better, network, inspire each other, smash stereotypes, get more “activated”…and have a few laughs in the process! It’s a place where veg businesses and other vegan-ly undertakings both big and small can be celebrated and supported, where viewers can be informed of where to spend their dollars ethically, and where we can discuss “the V(egan) word” in a relaxed, pleasant — but unapologetic — environment.

Let’s shine the spotlight on individuals who are thought-provoking, inspirational, entertaining…each of them making a positive social impact, living and working ethically and in alignment with their moral compass.
