2016 Roar for Lions – Toronto

The 2016 Roar for Lions – Toronto event has been created with the purpose of raising awareness about the plight of Africa’s lions. This event will take place outside of the African Lion Safari in Hamilton, Ontario on their Spring Opening Day (May 7th, 2016) from 11am-1pm. The event is being organized and “hosted” by last year’s Toronto Global March for Lions organizers and is an open event welcome to those who wish to help shed light on the exploitation of lions in Africa.

This will be a peaceful rally – those who attend are free to bring their own posters or banners, provided they are in no way offensive or discriminatory. We will, however, be providing a banner, a few posters and flyers.

Please note: this is NOT a protest of the African Lion Safari and should not be treated as such. Any individual who attends with the purpose of protesting the ALS will be asked to kindly stop, or leave if they cannot. The event is for lion awareness only.
