An Afternoon With Mike Gallay – AR Activist Running For Mayor

CVA and Calling all Vegans present an “Afternoon with Mike Gallay”. Mike is a vegan and animal rights activist running for Mayor of Toronto. He has an extensive platform offering well-thought-out solutions to the many challenges faced by Torontonians, such as housing affordability and poverty reduction. He is intelligent and approachable. And let us repeat: He is a vegan and AR activist!

**We need a certain number of people in attendance in order to proceed with this event, so please hit GOING right away if you plan on being there.**

At this event, he will speak about his campaign and answer questions about his platform, and there will be discussion around ways to support him. This is a crucial step in our mission to end animal suffering. We need our people in positions of power.

Mike is committed to protecting those most vulnerable and to fostering tolerance and equal opportunity. Under the “Animal Welfare” plank of his platform, Mike hopes to advance the following causes: Animal abuse registry, pigs as pets (and hopefully other farmed animals down the road), and a ban on slaughterhouses, foie gras, shark fins, and fur within city limits.

“As an activist, and a plant-based individual, I believe deeply in animal rights and the respect we need to show the creatures with whom we share this planet, and this incredible city. I believe the push for us to be healthier, for the preservation of our environment, and to treat all creatures with kindness and compassion, starts at a grassroots municipal level, and I hope to bring greater focus to it as a guiding force of our local civic conversations.”
