Ban Fur Farming Workshop + Appetizers
A Return to Single Issue Campaigns and Radical Activism

1PM Sunday, April 29th, 2018
The Vegan Hippie Chick 91 East Main Street, Welland, Ontario.
$15 (for appetizers)

Activist Talk: Malcolm Klimowicz discusses the movement to ban fur farming and his recent investigation exposing animal cruelty in the Ontario fur industry. We will examine case studies and strategies of single issue campaigns from SHAC, Gateway to Hell, and No New Animal Lab which targeted and broke down supply chains of animal exploitation industries. We will also examine strategies for changing public discourse by exploiting media and examine how to design a press release to get media coverage for the animal liberation movement.

Malcolm Klimowicz is a co-founder of KOALA (Kitchener Ontario Animal Liberation Alliance) and has been spearheading animal rights activism and the vegan movement in Southern Ontario for the past six years. His work has been featured in the Globe & Mail, City News, CTV, Global News, and many other media outlets.

The Vegan Hippie Chick will be providing us with appetizers to enjoy during this workshop. The cost is $15.
