Calling All Vegans Live Taping!

December 17, 2018 @ 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Wot?! Our last show for 2018? All right-y, then, let’s make it a BIGGIE! Please enjoy our last episode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvwHtKX6ecM

Calling ALL Vegans…and pre-vegans! Please join Sue Spahr and co-host, Alec Bosse, at a live taping of — you guessed it! — “Calling All Vegans”, as they strive to raise awareness of veganism and animal rights issues and aim to network, support, and “activate” the vegan community…and encourage pre-vegans to make the switch. You can also watch the live-stream commencing at 1:00 EST on ThatChannel.com.

Full disclosure: I’m nuts AND I like cheese. So having the big cheese, Margaret Coons, on Skype from Nuts for Cheese couldn’t be more appropriate. This past Wednesday, I received a special delivery of goodies meant for the show…and (thus far) I’ve managed to behave myself. Wish me both strength and integrity until Monday rolls around.

Certified yoga and dance facilitator, Moon goddess (I’m a Cancer, so I might just fall into this category), Reiki practitioner, essential oil wellness coach, musician/singer/songwriter (etcetera), Rodina Patrick, will be imparting some of her vast knowledge in these areas…and more! We can do our part by soaking up her nuggets of wisdom like little sponges.

Internationally acclaimed documentary filmmaker, Fern Levitt, will be joining us to talk about her vital piece of work, “Sled Dogs”, dubbed the “Blackfish” of the sled dog industry, and her tireless efforts to bring public awareness to the plight of these wonderful animals.
We will be talking with LuLu Lotus of LuLu Lotus Books about her charming, adorable, engaging story, “Kiss Or Cook?” — both written and illustrated by herself — the first in her Choose Kindness series of books which advocate for all animals and instill compassion by living peacefully. You will *squeeeee* with delight when you see the huge, sparkly eyes on the creatures that grace the pages!

And the chefs behind FoodVibrations, Dariia Knysh and Olga Fateeva, will be discussing their cool Toronto-based meal prep and catering business. I salivated openly and unashamedly as I looked over their menu offerings…especially knowing that they will be bringing along a couple of their creations for us to sample on the show.

Not a bad way at all to end the year!

All of our episodes in one handy-dandy location:

The animal rights movement has finally achieved some…movement. Vegans/AR activists are no longer just on the fringes…we’re everywhere and from every walk of life. Calling All Vegans aims to curate a wide variety of such guests. The show is an opportunity to get to know one another better, network, inspire each other, smash stereotypes, get more “activated”…and have a few laughs in the process! It’s a place where veg businesses and other vegan-ly undertakings both big and small can be celebrated and supported, where viewers can be informed of where to spend their dollars ethically, and where we can discuss “the V(egan) word” in a relaxed, pleasant — but unapologetic — environment.

Let’s shine the spotlight on individuals who are thought-provoking, inspirational, entertaining…each of them making a positive social impact, living and working ethically and in alignment with their moral compass.
