Cube of Truth: Toronto

The Cube of Truth is a peaceful static demonstration akin to an art performance. This demonstration operates in a structured manner that triggers curiosity and interest from the public; we attempt to lead bystanders to a vegan conclusion through a combination of local standard-practice animal exploitation footage and conversations with a value-based sales approach.
You do not need to bring anything for the event. Everything you need will be provided on the day: masks, signs, TVs and outreach literature. Please wear black/dark upper clothing appropriate for the weather, though a black jumper is essential if the weather permits (preferably hooded).
This is a special 6-hr Cube dedicated to Nuit Blanche. As that’s probably the only day in Toronto when we have thousands of people on the street pretty much all night, we want to take advantage of this opportunity and present our own “art installation”.
The format will be the same as at the Worldwide Meetup Cube – two shifts, 3.5 hrs each:
1. 5:30pm-9pm
For this shift we will be using laptops, as our TV battery lasts only for one shift, and we want to save it for the night time (most busy)
2. 8:30pm-midnight
This shift will be the same as our regular demos
Pleave vote for one shift you can commit to = you will be on time and ready to volunteer for all 3.5 hrs.
You can choose both, but please plan your energy accordingly, b/c 6.5 hours is a long time without a break.
If you are able to bring a laptop, please RSVP for the first shift.
