Emergency 12-Hour Vigil for the Pigs During Heatwave

We’re calling for everyone to please attend this Emergency Vigil to offer water to pigs in trucks at Fearman’s slaughterhouse on Monday, June 18 when temperatures are expected to soar over 33C. Pigs suffer horribly in these metal trucks from hyperthermia and dehydration. It is our duty to offer them relief and to draw attention to this unspeakable injustice. Our hope is that several groups can come for a few hours – we can work in shifts over a 12-hour period. Whether for an hour, or several hours, please come! We will provide water but, if you’re able, please bring a filled, reusable, refillable water bottle. We will be calling Emergency Vigils when temperatures rise above 30C this summer.
