Justice for Bowmanville Zoo Animals

The Bowmanville Zoo is closing its doors at the end of this season. But people are still supporting the cruelty, captivity, and enslavement that’s goes on there.

An undercover investigation conducted by PETA in 2015, unveiled a shocking behind the scenes video. The video shows the owner of the zoo [Michael Hackenberger] whipping a Siberian tiger named Uno, repeatedly until it’s anus expelled from fear. That incident lead to charges being laid on Hackenberger, 5 counts of animal cruelty. He is awaiting trial.

More recently, accusations of trainers using BB guns on the giraffes and monkeys. The OSPCA is investigating.
Zoos, especially BZ, are not educational for children. They do not realistically show how an animal is supposed to live, it teaches that animals are supposed to be locked up behind bars, and they are only there for our entertainment. They are not a fun day with the family; they are only funding animal abuse and imprisonment.
Do not support the Bowmanville Zoo or any other zoos.

The animals at the Bowmanville Zoo deserve to be re homed in animal sanctuaries where they can live the rest of their lives in freedom and peace.
