Karuna Lane Sanctuary – Clean Up and Pot Luck

We would absolutely love your help with keeping Karuna Lane pretty and clean for the animals who live here ? We have tasks for every ability and or desire, but nothing so bad that you wouldn’t want to come back ?
– stall mucking / fresh straw
-duck house clean (fresh wood chips, scraping down their perches, cleaning bowls )
– chicken coop refresh (new wood chips, scraping down perches, cleaning bowls )
– planting flowers and veggies along the duck house exterior wall
– washing bowls
-filling feed bins
– possibly some painting
– cuddling pigs, chickens, sheep and cats (goats at your own risk ?)
– we’d also love to make the coops more exciting, so if you have ideas and can execute them, let’s try!

Almost all the animals at Karuna Lane appreciate visitors, but not all will want to interact. We find it better to let them come to you, should they choose ? we will ensure plenty of time to get to know them ?

Pot Luck

Because there will be guests in the cabin that weekend, we won’t be able to access the kitchen to prep food ?

However, there is a fridge in the barn and many outlets if someone brings an item that needs to be heated in a crockpot.

Please bring a vegan item (no milk, eggs, cheese, animal body parts, or honey) to share. Even better would be to bring your own plate and cutlery – we will set up a washing station!

If helpful, feel free to list what you are bringing below or just surprise everyone!

Although we won’t have access to the house, there is an outhouse (a cute one) for people to use, and lots of shady spots to take breaks, if needed.

Please wear weather appropriate clothing, sun protection, and keep yourself hydrated ?
