4th Toronto March to Close Down all Slaughterhouses

Toronto will host its fourth March to Close Down all Slaughterhouses on Saturday, June 11, 2016!

Once again in 2016 compassionate citizens will hold a march to demand the closure of all slaughterhouses and demand the end of the violence we inflict on billions upon billions of nonhuman animals who are exploited, murdered and consumed mainly by humans.

Nonhuman animals are not property, numbers or commodities. We must abolish the false mindset that nonhuman animals are brought into this world for human consumption and exploitation.

Many cities across the globe will march on the same day with the same goal. The question of nonhuman animals’ exploitation is arguably one the most important question of this century; be part of the right side of history!

WHY ARE WE DEMANDING THE CLOSURE OF ALL SLAUGHTERHOUSES? WHY ARE WE DEMANDING THE ABOLITION OF ANIMAL PRODUCTS?

BECAUSE meat production (and other animal products) involve killing the animals that are exploited and eaten;
BECAUSE their living conditions and slaughter cause them to suffer;
BECAUSE eating animal products isn’t necessary;
BECAUSE sentient beings must not be mistreated or killed;

Therefore, farming, fishing and hunting, as well as selling and eating animal products, must be abolished.
