Nations Fresh Friends

Nations Fresh Foods states that the store “is set to provide you with a unique and thrilling shopping experience not found anywhere else in Toronto.” They should change unique and thrilling to traumatizing and horrifying, as they have an entire room with multiple tanks full of live fish, crabs, oysters, and lobsters that they slaughter in front of the customers. Activists witnessed a family choose a live fish from one of the tanks, as the employee caught the fish and then cut it using a machete while it was moving around on the cutting board.

We are holding a vigil outside of Nations Fresh Foods from 2:30pm – 4pm on Sunday February, 11th.

This is a love-based event. Signs will be provided, however please feel free to bring your own. We encourage activists to go into Nations and document the aquatic animals in a respectful manner.
