Pig Vigil at Conestoga Meat Packers

Please join us as we bear witness to the pigs at Conestoga Meat Packers. The lives of 24,000+ pigs are ended at this slaughter plant just outside of Kitchener every week. These pigs NEED our voices, our documentation, and our determination for change.
We are a love-based group who believe that we can achieve more through compassion than through force. Violence, drugs, or negativity are not welcome at vigils. This includes anger vocalized to truck drivers. Although we are all angry at the trucks and what they are doing, we gather to show empathy for the animals, spread compassion, and raise awareness.

POST VIGIL:
We will gather after the vigil for debriefing and support. Depending on the preferences of attendees, we will go to a park, restaurant or cafe.
