TPS Vigil for International Day for the end of Live Transport
Please join us and stand up for farmed animals on the 14th of June to help raise awareness for the cruel and unnecessary live transport trade.
Every year millions of animals are transported thousands of miles and it’s time to stop this abhorrent trade:
The ugly truth about the live transportation of animals:
· Excessively long journeys without sufficient food, water or rest.
· Sick, injured, very young and heavily pregnant animals.
· Ill-equipped and overcrowded vehicles.
· Some are exported from countries with animal protection laws to those that have none, facing terrible abuse both during transport and at the time of slaughter.
Please join us in this global campaign to help end live transport.
Leo Tolstoy on the duty to bear witness:
“When the suffering of another creature causes you to feel pain, do not submit to the initial desire to flee from the suffering one, but on the contrary, come closer, as close as you can to him who suffers, and try to help him.” – from Leo Tolstoy’s A Calendar of Wisdom
