Protest @ Shorthills Deer Hunt
Please join Shorthills Wildlife Alliance at the protest and vigil for the Shorthills deer. Shorthills is a Provincial park where these animals have been protected until 3 years ago. The Ministry of Natural Resources is intent on calling it a ‘harvest’ as if apples were being picked, but in truth it is a slaughter.
We are asking individuals to join us on Saturday November 14th from 3:30-6:30 p.m. as well as Saturday November 28th from 3:30-6:30 specifically, but please join us on any of the 6 days if you can. The hunt will take place on the following 6 days:
Saturday November 14th
Sunday November 15th
Thursday November 19th
Friday November 20th
Saturday November 28th
Sunday November 29th
Please meet at the Pelham Road entrance to Shorthills Park.
The best times to attend are between 5-7 a.m. and 4-6 p.m (when hunters are entering and leaving the park). However, Shorthills group will have a presence all day, so if you cannot make it during those specific times, please attend whenever you can. Further, we want to maintain a presence over the three weeks, so please try to make it out as many days as you can.
