Toronto Consulate National Rally Against The Yulin Dog Meat

The Animal Hope & Wellness Foundation (AHWF) and Toronto Pig Save are joining forces and putting on a large-scale demonstration to speak out against China’s Dog Meat Trade and the annual Yulin Dog Meat Festival – a 10 day torture fest beginning on June 21st.

There has been NO confirmation from government officials in Yulin about a dog meat ban at this year’s festival; it is expected to go on as it has the last 8 years.

Please join us June 9, 2017 from 11am to 1pm eastern to speak out on behalf of the dogs and cats of China! You are needed – we will give a strong and impactful message to the Chinese Government in Toronto.

China’s dog and cat meat trade is a horrific and unregulated commercial industry that brutally tortures animals for profit. An estimated 10 million dogs and 4 million cats are slaughtered in China each year for meat. The gruesome dog meat festival slaughter will be happening at a rapid rate starting soon!

This is a peaceful but powerful demonstration! Come prepared to use your voice in uniform with the group; throwing water on cars, profanity or any unruly behavior will not be allowed. We will be adhering to city ordinances and not blocking sidewalks, etc.
