Urban Coyotes – Condemnation, Commodification and Coexistence: Colleen Bain

Join us for a talk by Colleen Bain on the history of how we talk about, understand, and interact with coyotes; how to reduce human-coyote conflicts; and the process of overlooking coyote life in order to commodify coyote death.

Content warning: This talk will discuss violence/predation toward wild animals, domestic animals and humans.

Colleen Bain is an Environmental Planner, with a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University. Her graduate research focused on the role of environmental planning in human co-flourishing with urban wildlife.
