What The Health – Vegan Potluck Picnic and Outreach

Join York Friends of Animals @ Lake Wilcox Park for a picnic potluck and a public film screening of the new Netflix-acclaimed documentary “What The Health”. During the public viewing of the film, we will also take turns engaging in leafleting to combine a vegan social with activism.

Film Synopsis: “What the Health” is a groundbreaking feature-length documentary from the award-winning filmmakers of “Cowspiracy”, that follows the exciting journey of intrepid filmmaker, Kip Andersen, as he uncovers the impacts of highly processed industrial animal foods on our personal health and greater community, and explores why leading health organizations continue to promote the industry despite countless medical studies and research showing deleterious effects of these products on our health.

We will need volunteers to show up about an hour in advance of 12 (around 11) to help with set-up of the screening. We will be using a solar generator to power the projector and speakers for the screening of the film.

– a portable chair
