DESCRIPTION:Join Toronto activists\, in conjunction with PETA as we demand the cancellation of the Gone Fishin’ event scheduled to begin on June 10. If you haven’t signed the petition\, please do so and share! \nhttps://www.change.org/p/mohsin-khattak-cancel-scadding-court-s-gone-fishin-event \nFor the past 14 years\, the Scadding Court indoor swimming pool has been turned into a slaughtherhouse for fish. The photo above was taken last year on the day the pool was drained and the fish who had survived the hunt\, suffocated and died in a slow\, horrific way. \nFor the past 2 years\, with the help of PETA\, we have tried to educate the public about the cruelty of fishing and appealed to the community centre to cancel the event. The executive director ‘welcomed’ our information but insisted that the program will never end. \nThis Friday\, city councillor Joe Cressy\, will be doing a ‘meet and greet’ at Scadding Court. We plan to take advantage of this opportunity to let him and the administrators at the community centre know that offering school kids and families the opportunity to participate in a ‘canned hunt’ is not only cruel but not the most effective way to teach ecology. We plan to have a representative speak with Mr Cressy while the rest of us hold signs and ‘be loud’ outside the community centre. \nPlease help us shut down this disgusting event and let the world know that fish deserve respect! \nNote: Please check Facebook event page for updates.

DESCRIPTION:Come join us for our second Toronto Cow Save Slaughterhouse Vigil live stream. Once again we will be at at busy downtown grocery store! This week we will be in the heart of the Annex/University of Toronto neighbourhood reaching many students and young people. It’s time to show everyone the extreme violence and horror behind being what is on the shelves of their local grocery store! Help us reveal the hidden injustice in our city and connect people to the truth. Signs and leaflets will be provided. \nThe Save Movement continues to evolve – we will now bring the power of bearing witness into the heart of communities in and around the GTA by reporting live from our vigils. The goal of this project is to bring the experience of bearing witness into the lives of people who potentially don’t even know about the tremendous injustice happening in their community. These live broadcasts will help uncover the atrocities normally hidden to a downtown population and challenge the normalization of violence against animals. \nAt each event\, we will be giving out information about the slaughterhouses operating in that community and information about the Save Movement/Animal Rights/Veganism. \nDuring the launch tour of the #LIVEWITNESS Project we’ll also be raising awareness of the Toronto March to Close All Slaughterhouses on June 10\, 2017.

We bring the information to the people in an attempt to break down unawareness and show the cruelty inherent in meat\, dairy and egg production. We will also be offering the public the opportunity to experience life from a livestock animal’s perspective with virtual reality technology. All footage used shows the standard practices for animal-based food production in Canada. \nIMPORTANT: Please bring a laptop or tablet if you have one. If you do not\, please come along anyway; masks and signs will be provided on the day. Please wear black clothing where possible\, though a black jumper is essential if the weather permits (preferably hooded). DESCRIPTION:The Save Movement #LIVEWITNESS project is launching!! \nCome join us for the launch of the Save Movement #LIVEWITNESS project! We will be setting up our slaughterhouse broadcast in front of a busy downtown grocery store. It’s time to show people what their money is supporting if they buy animal products! Help us uncover the hidden violence in our city and connect people to the truth. Signs and leaflets will be provided. \nThe Save Movement continues to evolve – we will now bring the power of bearing witness into the heart of communities in and around the GTA by reporting live from our vigils. The goal of this project is to bring the experience of bearing witness into the lives of people who potentially don’t even know about the tremendous injustice happening in their community. These live broadcasts will help uncover the atrocities normally hidden to a downtown population and challenge the normalization of violence against animals. \nAt each event\, we will be giving out information about the slaughterhouses operating in that community and information about the Save Movement/Animal Rights/Veganism. \nDuring the launch tour of the #LIVEWITNESS Project we’ll also be raising awareness of the Toronto March to Close All Slaughterhouses on June 10\, 2017.

SUMMARY:The Earthlings Experience Niagara - 1st Demo
DESCRIPTION:Our aim is to inform the public on the cruel practices that take place within the animal agriculture industry. We do this by holding a silent demonstration in which we play video footage on our Laptops or Tablets that shows the cruelty that takes place in the animal agriculture industry. The Earthlings Experience is a peaceful demonstration and we do not condone confrontational\, shaming or violent behaviour. What we do is completely legal. We only wish to educate\, open up channels of discussion and to promote the vegan message. To take part in an event\, all you need is a mask and a video-playing device (Laptop/Tablet/iPad) with the documentary “Earthlings” downloaded.
