DESCRIPTION:Please join local PETA supporters in protesting the use of animals in fashion outside Canada Goose’s headquarters during the company’s virtual shareholder meeting. The Canada Goose symbol is ubiquitous in cold climates\, but it represents anything but warmth. Every single piece of fur trim or plucked down used by Canada Goose comes from an animal who didn’t want to be killed. The fur trim that lines the hoods of the company’s winter jackets comes from wild coyotes who were trapped\, killed\, and skinned. As you may know\, ThatChannel has been struggling financially\, leaving the immediate future of Calling All Vegans uncertain. Previously\, he served as Director of New Media for the international animal protection organization\, The Humane League. Prior to that\, John served as Director of Communications for Vegan Outreach\, and he is currently a writer at Plant Based News. In his roles at THL and VO\, John oversaw social media for the organizations which led to a tenfold increase in following in both\, as well as over 1 billion impressions of content posted to these pages. In 2019 alone\, he’s had one 100 million impressions of his own posts on Twitter\, Facebook\, and Instagram. \nTHOMAS GOODMAN has been a lifelong admirer of animals\, was raised meat-free\, and later became a professional advocate for animals in 2014. He has since worked in various initiatives for animals such as corporate outreach\, federal state and regulatory advocacy\, promotion of Meatless Mondays\, leafleting across North America\, public speaking\, welfare campaigns\, community organizing\, and more for the animal protection movement. She was Canada’s first-ever animal rights lawyer\, and author of the textbook “Introduction to Animals and the Law.” \nSuzana Gartner\, Firm Founder of Gartner & Associates Animal Law\, the first animal law firm and mediation practice in Canada dedicated exclusively to animal-related disputes. She has successfully resolved many client cases using an alternative approach to litigation. \nGary Grill\, Adjunct Professtor at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Firm Founder of Grill Barristers. A specialist in criminal law\, he defended Anita Krajnc in the “pig trial” case in 2017. \nCamille Labchuck\, Executive-Director of Animal Justice Canada\, an organisation leading the legal fight for animals in Canada.
