DESCRIPTION:Come get active with us! 🙂 \nCome join the Toronto Climate Save team this Friday to do a Green spaces clean-up of Greenwood Park in Toronto\,  do   vegan outreach\, speeches\, support a vegan restaurant & more!  \nLOCATION: 150 Greenwood Ave\, Toronto\, ON M4L 2R1 \nSTART TIME : 3pm  \nMEETING POINT: Meet us at the Greenwood Dog Park\, look for our planet earth flag \nSAFETY: For everyone’s safety\, please wear a mask or face covering at all times during the event and we suggest you stay home if you feel unwell. ( We will miss you though 🙂 \nEQUIPMENT : For the mini clean-up we will provide some clear and recycle bags  and gloves and some ” grabbers/ long tongs” to help pick up what we collect but you can bring your own equipment as well since we may have a limited amount \nBANNERS /SIGNAGE: \nWe will be providing banners and signs but you can also bring your own if you like \nNote: We encourage everyone to wear purple if possible to go with the theme of Toronto Climate Save \nAGENDA : \n1- Meet at Greenwood park at 3 pm\, quick meet and greet and team huddle \n2- Cleanup of park’s green areas will start \n3- Stickering\, postering\, leafleting as we go\, including park’s perimeter \n4- Finally we will stand across from Jinglepear Deli and do some speeches \n5- Finally we will conclude with team photos  \n\n Everyone is encouraged to try ordering take-out from Jinglepear to show support for this amazing vegan business\n\nhttp://JinglepearDeli.ca/ \nhttps://www.facebook.com/JinglepearDeli \n

SUMMARY:Australian Bushfire Solidarity and Climate Action Rally
DESCRIPTION:At this rally\, co-hosted by Fridays for Future Toronto\, we will be standing in solidarity with all those who have suffered in the climate-change driven bushfires. We will also be calling out the Australian government for its inaction on the climate crisis. The Australian government has ignored warnings\, disparaged climate science\, and obstructed international efforts to curb the rise of greenhouse gas emissions. We demand that the government reverses course\, sets science-based emissions reductions targets in keeping with UN IPCC goals\, and act as responsible global citizen. \nWe will be rallying at 12 pm at Queen’s Park (South) and marching at 12:30 to the Australian Consulate at 175 Bloor St. E where we will peacefully protest from 1pm to 2 pm. \nNote: Please check the Facebook event page for updates.
