DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a vigil for chickens at the Maple Leaf slaughterhouse in Toronto. \nPlease be aware that 2 trucks arrive (normally at the same time) and we bear witness to those 2 trucks. They can come anytime between 7:30pm – 9pm so we suggest activists arrive around 7:30pm so they don’t miss the trucks. \nThis is a love-based event. There are safety protocols put into place by both us and the slaughterhouse. Feel free to bring your own signs and please dress accordingly.

Please dress appropriately. Even if the temps are cooler\, don’t underestimate the UV. Consider sunscreen\, and bring enough water to stay hydrated. DESCRIPTION:Toronto has been hosting the World Cup of Hockey Tournament featuring teams from all over Europe and North America. It began on Sept. 17 and ends on Oct. 1. Now you don’t have to like hockey to see that we can use this spectacle to take advantage of tens of thousands of people and media from all over the world\, to deliver a message of hope for the planet and animals! In addition to hockey\, the Distillery District area has been turned into a Fan Zone which is hosting all kinds of activities including concerts and a huge screen televising all the games. \nThe Climate Vegan plan is to link this world sporting event to another world issue\, Climate Change. We will hang Cowspiracy banners from various bridges around the ACC and the Fan Zone during the finals. We will also distribute and hand Cowspiracy leaflets and Vegan Outreach’s Compassionate Athletes leaflet. \nLast week\, we reached thousands of people leaving the Finland – Sweden game and arriving for the Canada – US game\, through our signs and leaflets. \nJoin us on Tuesday\, Sept. 27 and 29 from 6-8pm as fans arrive for the first two game of the best of three championship series. We will hang some Cowspiracy banners from various bridges in the area of the ACC and the Fan Zone during the finals and distribute Climate Vegan cards along with Vegan Outreach’s Compassionate Athletes leaflets at various times: \n*Sept. 20\, 6-8pm – before the game between Canada and USA at the ACC\n*Sept. 23 4-7 pm Green Day concert at the Fan Zone\n*Sept. 27\, 29\, 6-8 pm and\, if necessary\, Oct. 1 5-7 pm\, for the finals of the tournament at ACC and Fan Zone.\n*Sept. 25 3:00-6:00 pm banner making party and pizza at MC’s place!
