SUMMARY:Vegan Christmas Gala & Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Experience an evening of elegance\, festive entertainment\, and a memorable first-class dinner to ring in the holiday season. The Gala will take place at renowed Italian eatery Vegano tucked away in Montreal’s very own Little Italy. \nArrive dressed to impress. The Gala will be a time to come together to celebrate vegan activists and all our hard work fighting for animals in 2019. This gives us the perfect excuse to get all dressed up and treat ourselves to a fancy night out! \nDinner guests will enjoy an exquisite 3 course meal of authentic Italian dishes including an appetizer\, main course\, and dessert (coffee & tea included). Vegano is a bring your own wine establishment so bring your favorite drinks to enjoy with dinner. \nGuests will have the opportunity to enter a raffle and win some very amazing vegan prizes to take home!\n($5 per ticket OR 3 tickets for $10). \nGuests arrive between 6:00PM-7:00PM.\nDinner begins at ~ 7:30PM. \nTickets are available beginning Oct 6th at 9:00AM\nGold – Early Bird – $50 until Nov 1st\nPlatinum – $55 after Nov 1st \nPurchase Tickets here:\nhttps://www.eventbrite.ca/e/vegan-christmas-gala-fundraiser-tickets-75311846761 \nAll proceeds of the Gala will be donated to the #MinkTrial legal defence fund to help cover legal fees for Malcolm Klimowicz. Malcolm is scheduled to stand trial next year in Kingston\, ON and if found guilty could spend up to 10 years in prison. \nLast year Malcolm entered 5 Canadian fur farms and filmed shocking animal cruelty. The horrifying videos were shared with police but instead of helping the suffering animals\, several police departments punitively laid bogus charges against him as punishment. In addition a judge issued a gag order which stopped media from reporting on the trial and Malcolm was also struck with a civil law suit by a fur farmer for thousands of dollars. \nSimilar video footage realeased to the public in Norway lead to the country banning fur farms. Malcolm’s investigation into the Ontrio fur industry generated dozens of news stories and headlines showing the public for the first time the horrifying reality of animal cruelty on fur factory farms. \nPlease support direct action for animals and Malcolm as he fights the fur industry in court! More info about the #MinkTrial can be found at www.endfurfarming.com \nIf you cannot attend and would still like to donate\, please click on the GoFundMe link below: \nhttps://ca.gofundme.com/f/minktrial-legal-defence-fund \nNote: Please check the Facebook event page for updates.
