SUMMARY:4th Annual Peace Fur Paws 5K Fundraising Walk
DESCRIPTION:Come and join us for our 4th Annual 5k Fundraising Walk with your friends\, family and furry friends! This year our 5K Walk will be held on Sunday September 29 at 10am\, starting at Pet Valu Market Markham at 3987 Highway 7 East. There will be multiple vendors and non-profit groups at the 5K Walk event. \nThis annual event helps to raise the much-needed funds for educational programs\, outreach initiatives\, advocacy campaigns and on-the-ground rescue work that we know are crucial to driving change for the welfare and treatment of animals. Proceeds from the Walk will be donated to Animals Asia\, The Save Movement and Zoocheck. \n\nAnimals Asia who rescue and provide critically needed veterinary care to moon bears that are being used in the bear bile industry. The funds will go to support their two sanctuaries in Vietnam and China that provide a permanent home to the moon bears who cannot be released into the wild. It will also go towards helping to end the cruel cat and dog meat and fur trade in Asia\n\n\nThe Save Movement is a worldwide network of groups dedicated to bearing witness of pigs\, cows\, chickens and other farmed animals en route to slaughter. Every year\, over 56 billion farmed animals are killed and this does not include fish or sea creatures. SUMMARY:AV Social at Worldwide Meetup
DESCRIPTION:This is a social event following AV Worldwide Meetup Cube\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/222450868307292/ \nTickets:\nhttps://www.eventbrite.ca/e/av-social-worldwide-meetup-tickets-48901861785 \nAfter 6 hrs demo and a busy weekend of activism let’s get together in a casual atmosphere\, have some delicious vegan food\, meet each other and just relax because we all surely deserve this. \nFor this event we rented a nice private gallery right in front of AGO and will have vegan buffet style food as well as cash bar. \nAs much as we would like it to be free\, we needed to pay for space rental as well as catering\, so to cover the costs there will be an admission fee of $20 (which is about the average dinner price in Toronto). \nWe recommend to purchase tickets soon\, as the space for the event is limited. \nNote: Please check the Facebook event page for updates.

SUMMARY:AV: Toronto and Calling All Vegans Apres-March Social/Drop-In!
DESCRIPTION:Calling All Vegans…and Activists! Both visitors to the city and Torontonians. Please join us for a free drop-in/social hosted by Anonymous for the Voiceless: Toronto and Calling All Vegans at the ThatChannel.com studio (600 Bay Street – just a 10-minute walk from Grange Park\, the end point of the Official Animal Rights March) where you can relax\, recharge\, have a washroom break\, grab a cold drink\, enjoy a wee snack\, listen to some groovy tunes\, and give out-of-towners an opportunity to get their bearings\, meet local activists to get restaurant recommendations and assistance navigating the city\, etc. \nThe space will be available from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to allow people time to pitch in for clean-up immediately following the march. There will also be a DXE action taking place from 3:00 to 5:00. See details here and please join in: https://www.facebook.com/events/2043782769284860/ Those individuals not participating in the DXE event can pop by the studio shortly after the march and activists wishing to get involved with DXE still have lots of time to drop in after 5:00. \nDonations gratefully accepted. \nCalling All Vegans is brought to you by ThatChannel.com and VeganKIND. Please join Sue Spahr and co-host Alec Bosse as they strive to raise awareness of veganism and animal rights issues and encourage vegans to become more “activated”. \nThe animal rights movement has finally achieved some…movement. Vegans/AR activists are no longer just on the fringes…we’re everywhere and from every walk of life. Calling All Vegans aims to curate a wide variety of such guests. The show is an opportunity to get to know one another better\, network\, inspire each other\, smash stereotypes\, get more “activated”…and have a few laughs in the process! It’s a place where veg businesses and other vegan-ly undertakings both big and small can be celebrated and supported\, where viewers can be informed of where to spend their dollars ethically\, and where we can discuss “the V(egan) word” in a relaxed\, pleasant — but unapologetic — environment. \nLet’s shine the spotlight on individuals who are thought-provoking\, inspirational\, entertaining…each of them making a positive social impact\, living and working ethically and in alignment with their moral compass. \nNote: Please check the Facebook event page for updates.
