Symphony of the Sea Protest

Please join us on Friday, April 20th outside Ripley’s fish jail to protest their “Symphony of the Sea” event. The Toronto Chamber Players are performing three 45 minute sets, and Ripley’s advertises this event as a night to “combine beautiful sights and sounds at this pitch perfect evening in the heart of downtown Toronto.” What’s missing from this description is the background information as to how Ripley’s acquired all of the aquatic animals that are on display, how detrimental overfishing is to the environment, and how they’re normalizing exploitation.

This is a love-based event and signs will be provided, however feel free to bring your own if you wish!

Prior to this event, there is a protest at Antler from 7 – 8:30.
