POLAR PLUNGE 4 MARINE MAMMALS/DIP 4 DEMERS
HERE IT IS……WHO’S BRAVE ENOUGH? OUR MARINELAND WHISTLEBLOWERS SURE ARE!
****THE ANIMALS AT MARINELAND NEED YOUR SUPPORT****
The Marineland Whistleblowers have been hit (just prior to
Christmas) with another flurry of Motions instigated by Marineland, adding to their already crippling legal fees.
It is EXTREMELY important to continue to support the Whistleblowers for the sake of the animals. Marineland is stalling to avoid producing documents regarding the animals in their care over the years. This information is vital to the lawsuits. In doing so, you are directly supporting animal such as: Kiska, Smooshi, Echo and Zeus. ALL OF THEM….
Ontario Captive Animal Watch (OCAW), is hosting a fundraising event on January 3, 2016 at the foot of Lee Avenue (south of Queen Street East- 1 Lee Ave) in the Toronto Beaches. The event is a Polar Dip and the pledge form is attached here as well. If you plan on attending, please gather pledges from family and friends.
If you cannot attend the event, please sponsor those that are or donate directly to https://www.gofundme.com/
The Marineland Whistleblowers are responsible for bringing about major change for the Marineland animals. Without them bravely coming forward, Ontario never would have banned the breeding and importation of orcas, the province would not have prepared Standards of Care for Marine Mammals and a Federal Bill banning the captivity of cetaceans would not have been tabled by Senator Wilfred Moore.
We owe them everything; they deserve our support.
Kindly watch this video and remember when donating the incredible sacrifices of these men and women.
